‘Chicago PD’ season 3 finale may take Sergeant Voight on a bounty hunt for the perpetrator who hurt his son.

According to an article on Yibada, season 3’s final episode will take on a more emotional turn as the team works on a murder case. It was suggested that Sergeant Henry “Hank” Voight’s son Justin (Josh Segarra) may be associated with the victim.

The teaser video posted on Carter Matt opens with Hank (Jason Beghe) finding his son in serious danger. The next scene cuts to Justin being wheeled in the hospital and seemingly in critical condition. Speculation has it that this would prompt a vengeful Hank to go after the perpetrator by all means necessary.

Episode 23’s synopsis teased that the team is set to discover the body of a widowed single mother in the trunk of a car. The woman turned out to have had constant contact with Justin, who recently got out of a reform institute. Detective Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) and the rest of the team are aware that Hank’s desperation to find whoever attacked his son may turn into a hunt for revenge.

He says towards the end of the teaser, “You wanna take me off this case – you’re gonna have to put a bullet in my head.”

According to Hollywood Life, actor Jesse Lee Soffer teased that “there’s chance not everyone’s going to make it out alive!” Soffer, who plays foolhardy Detective Jay Halstead in the series, also revealed that Beghe’s character will have to deal with “some real issues.”

‘Chicago PD’ is an American police drama created by Dick Wolff and Matt Olmstead. The series is intended as the first spin-off series from the NBC action-drama television series ‘Chicago Fire’. It stars Beghe, Seda, Soffer, Sophia Bush, Patrick John Flueger, Marina Squerciati, LaRoyce Hawkins, and Amy Morton.

The season 3 finale is set to air on NBC on May 25, 2016.
