Carrie Underwood recently attended the CMT Artists of the Year 2018 ceremony, where she was honored as one of the seven women recognized for their contributions to country music. Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Kimberly Schlapman, Karen Fairchild, and Hillary Scott were also among the honorees at the event.
Prestigious as the award is, it was Carrie Underwood’s baby bump that took the spotlight for the country singer. The songstress showed off her adorable belly by donning a blue long-sleeved dress that prominently featured her belly, Hollywood Life reported.
Carrie Underwood first announced that she was carrying her second child with Mike Fisher in August, although when exactly she got pregnant remains unknown. As such, there’s no confirmation of when she will deliver the child. However, iHeart speculates that the “Cry Pretty” singer’s expected date of delivery is in February 2019.
As for the pregnancy itself, Carrie Underwood is simply happy that her condition is as healthy as ever. It can be recalled that prior to her announcement, the singer revealed that she suffered three consecutive miscarriages when she and her husband were trying to conceive a second child.
This heartbreaking circumstance was first revealed during Carrie Underwood’s interview with CBS, where the songstress disclosed her frustration over her miscarriages. Ultimately, however, she just accepted it that God had a different plan for her and that it wasn’t the right time to bring a second child to the world.
“We got pregnant early 2017, and didn't work out,” Carrie Underwood said. “It happens. And that was the thing, in the beginning, it was like, 'Okay, God, we know this is, just wasn't your timing and that is all right.’”
With all these happening to her, it’s understandable why the “Jesus, Take the Wheel” singer is proud to show off her baby bump to the world. Hopefully, she can stay healthy and she delivers a beautiful child who will be the next milestone for the country singer and Mike Fisher.
