Cardi B is definitely one of the hottest hip-hop artists in 2018 after releasing multiple chart-topping and record-breaking hits. And she plans to keep up the pace and promised that a new album awaits in 2019.
During her usual Instagram Live interaction with fans, Cardi B confirmed she will be dropping a new album possibly a year after “Invasion of Privacy” came out. “Hopefully, I can get my album done around the same time that ‘Invasion of Privacy’ came out. I don't know how possible that's going to be because I feel like I'm going to be extremely, extremely busy,” Cardi B explained.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper closed 2018 with a series of concert tours. For 2019, Cardi B already has a lineup of upcoming performances starting with the Bay Dreams 2019 summer festival in New Zealand this week.
Last December, there were also rumors that Cardi B has been working on a deluxe version of “Invasion of Privacy” with several exclusive records not included in the original release. The hip-hop artist is yet to confirm the reports but there have been leaks suggesting that it would be available on Jan. 25.
As mentioned, 2018 had been a successful year for Cardi B as she ended the year with a total of 34 awards and 123 nominations bagged for her entire career. In 2018 alone, she was named Billboard Music Awards’ top rap female artist.
Before last year ended, she also received a total of five Grammy nominations including album of the year and best rap album for “Invasion of Privacy.” Also in 2018, the Guinness World Records recognized her the following categories: Most simultaneous Billboard US Hot 100 entries by a female and Most simultaneous Billboard US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Top 10 entries by a female.
On the other hand, it was also a somewhat controversial year for Cardi B especially after the media frenzy over her feud with Nicki Minaj that resulted in a physical altercation during the New York Fashion Week. Then in December 2018, she announced her separation from Offset after more than a year of marriage.
