With technological innovation reaching new heights every day, everything seems to be becoming “smarter”. First was the arrival of smartphone and then came smartwatch.
However, there are people who are unwilling to do away with their precious watch in lieu of a smartwatch and Chronos is just ready to address this issue.
Chronos, which comes with a tag line “The best wearable is the one you already wear”, transforms any watch into a “truly” smartwatch with notifications, tracking and discreet design.
It is a small metal disc that measures under 3mm thin and 33mm in diameter to fit on over 80% of watches sold today. Every Chronos is equipped with stainless steel casing, Bluetooth 4.0 Low, energy integration, water-resistant construction, 36 hour battery life, wireless charging, accelerometer, haptic vibration and LED notifications, non-residue micro-suction adhesive backing, patent pending design.
Supported by its accompanying app, Chronos works with both Android and iOS, giving the user complete freedom over their watches and devices.
Stephen Pulvirent of Bloomberg reviewed the product and found it to be “pretty good”. He said that Chronos has done a great job with notifications to make sure the experience is as rich as possible.
“While a true smartwatch such as the Apple Watch or Samsung Gear S2 often seems to be crying out for attention, the Chronos disappears except when it's giving you that nudge to grab your phone”, he said.
Chronos comes with a price tag of $99 and is available for pre-order and will ship next year in spring.
