Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s custody battle appears to be nearing its end as the deadline that was given to the ex-couple is inching ever closer to its final date. The court has already ordered the pair that if they don’t agree on anything come Dec. 4, then the judge handling the proceeding will determine the outcome of the case.
As such, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are scrambling to get things in order as they don’t want to leave the final say to the judge. It’s been reported that the evaluation process of the proceeding is already underway with the children subjected to questions that will determine the conclusion of this drawn-out battle.
In an attempt to shield the children for further inquisitions, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly come to an understanding. The “World War Z” star once quoted an unnamed attorney saying, “No one wins in court—it's just a matter of who gets hurt worse.”
Angelina Jolie also understands the damage that this case has brought to her family and is apparently willing to end it for the sake of her children with Brad Pitt. While the agreement that’s been laid out has yet to be signed, the stars are apparently a few steps away from making the document official, The Blast reported.
A source of the publication claims that the agreement gave Brad Pitt a “substantial amount of time” with the children. Angelina Jolie initially wanted a full custody for the kids but it seems that the “Maleficent” star has changed her tune. It’s likely that this impending deadline played a significant part in this transition.
That, and the fact that the evaluation process involves the questioning of the kids. Right now, only Maddox and Pax is at the right age to decide for themselves who they’re going to side with. As for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, it’s still unclear when exactly they’ll be signing this supposed agreement. Hopefully, the two stars can successfully raise their kids despite their differences and the rift between them will finally mend.
