Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie only have three weeks left to agree on the terms encompassing their drawn-out custody battle that started two years ago. If the ex-couple couldn’t settle their differences, then a judge is going to decide for them.
As such, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have filed for an extension until June 30, 2019, in order to buy more time on what best they should do moving forward. They’re also looking to settle the case outside of court and has chosen retired Judge John Ouderkirk as the official to mediate the proceedings.
Although Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie still couldn’t see eye to eye on this matter, they are determined to close this dark chapter of their life. Both stars understand that the custody case has taken a toll on their children and it’s their well-being they are prioritizing. The “Troy” star once quoted an unnamed attorney during his interview with GQ magazine.
“No one wins in court—it's just a matter of who gets hurt worse,” Brad Pitt recounted. Angelina Jolie also said that she understands that the case is hurting their family and that she’s putting her children first above anything else.
Currently, the ex-couple are still hashing things out on what’s the best course now that the court has given them a deadline. As for their children, little is known about the kids as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are shielding them from gossip media.
Most of the news being published about the six are usually unfounded rumors. For instance, NW magazine wrote a piece in September claiming that Shiloh Jolie-Pitt ran away from home to see Brad Pitt. The supposed reason for the escape was that Angelina Jolie was prohibiting the 12-year-old to see her father. Of course, the news doesn’t have any veracity to it and the article has since been discredited by trustworthy sites.
