Estranged couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt reportedly set up a “secret meeting” to discuss the custody of their six children. However, it was purportedly unsuccessful.
Pitt and Jolie have six children together, all of whom are minors — Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 10. Based on previous reports, a custody agreement is one of the top priorities in finalizing their divorce. But that seems easier said than done.
After a widely publicized dispute about insufficient child support, a source of Entertainment Tonight revealed on Sept. 19 that Jolie reached out to Pitt’s camp for the said meeting. The talk was set up primarily to discuss their co-parenting arrangements.
However, an insider told Us Weekly on Wednesday that “there is no truce” between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt following the rumored meeting. “Angie is extremely hard to deal with, period. She wants what she wants, and no one is going to tell her otherwise,” Us Weekly’s source added.
The same source also alleged Jolie of “interfering” with Pitt’s time with their children. “There have been several occasions in recent weeks in which the kids have been late, with Brad unable to reach anyone for answers,” said the tipster.
After Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, the actress was seen bringing her kids anywhere around the world where she needed to film. But in June, The Blast obtained legal documents that confirmed the court needed to step in so Pitt could have a fair share of time to be with his kids.
The judge specified the number of hours that the children, except Maddox, must spend with Brad Pitt within June through July. The documents also showed that Angelina Jolie was required to give Pitt their children’s contact numbers and let them have unsupervised communication.
In other news, Pitt made headlines recently after he attended a charity art auction this week. This is one of the rare times the actor went to a public event since he and Jolie parted ways.
Brad Pitt was photographed sitting next to jewelry designer Sat Hari. And because this is Pitt, reports were quick to stir up speculations that the two could be an item. However, The Sun Online later reported that Angelina Jolie’s ex and Hari are “simply friends” and did not even plan to attend the said event together.
