“Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 91 will be one of the final installments of the Mitsuki Disappearance arc. Unfortunately, there is also a chance it is going to be the last time fans will see Onoki alive.
The official title for “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 91 — “Onoki’s Will” — makes it obvious that the aging and former Tsuchikage will be the focus of the next installment. The preview shows Ku will regain strength and possibly become more powerful after stealing a heart. Sekki carries Onoki to the battleground and later faces Ku. The synopsis for the next episode, as translated by OrganicDinosaur, also reveals that Onoki is prepared to sacrifice his life if it means defeating Ku for good.

It seems very poetic that Onoki plays a major role in the final battle against Ku. It can be recalled that Onoki supported Ku’s plans of creating more synthetic humans and an army of Akuta to prepare for future wars and attacks. As it turns out, Ku does not genuinely want peace and order in the Shinobi World. It was a little too late when Onoki saw his mistakes, but he seems to be making amends in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 91.
There is no doubt that Onoki has been one of the most powerful ninjas ever introduced in the world of “Naruto.” But the opening of the Mitsuki Disappearance arc established that he has reached a very advanced age. Fast forward to episode 89, Onoki executed the Earth Release: Added-Weight Rock Technique to disperse the Akutas guarding his hospital room. Though successful, it obviously made him immediately exhausted. So it is interesting how he can endure an upcoming battle with Ku in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 91.
Meanwhile, the preview for “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 91 also hints at Mitsuki’s return to Hidden Leaf with his team. The preview shows him wearing again his forehead protector symbolizing his loyalty to Konohagakure. “Onoki’s Will” drops on Sunday, Jan. 27.
