Anime fans who have been waiting for “Boruto” Episode 76 are going to be disappointed to learn that it won’t be coming out this week. Instead, viewers will have to wait until Oct. 7 for the next episode in the Mitsuki Arc.
In last week’s one-hour special, Boruto and Sarada managed to get away from the jonin Moegi with the rest of Team 10 still hot on their trail. But after Team 10 caught up with the two, Shikadai managed to convince Chocho and Inojin to help Boruto and Sarada after he learned of the contents of Mitsuki's message.
With the Team 10 cell members now on their side, the journey to find the Ryuchi Cave continued and Boruto eventually met the White Snake Sage after a series of trails. However, the sage would only agree to help them if they dealt with a giant snake called Garaga. As seen on the “Boruto” Episode 76 preview, Boruto will come face to face with Garaga, and with the help of the other Konoha shinobis, he is going to find a way to defeat it and bring its reverse scale back to the sage.
Aside from that, not much is known about “Boruto” Episode 76, although some have speculated that Boruto may eventually acquire the skill to summon Garaga. Interestingly, Garaga appears to have a scar on the same side as Boruto’s Dojutsu. Could this be a foreshadowing? Of course, it should be noted that this is an anime-only arc, so one has to wonder if Garaga is canon.
In any case, there will probably be more fillers after “Boruto” Episode 76 as the anime series starts to catch up with the source material. For now, fans of the “Naruto” world may as well enjoy the show, or they can read the “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” manga.
