The Chocho arc of “Boruto” may be culminating in the next few episodes as “Boruto” episode 69 looks to be the reckoning for Teams 7 and 10. They will be taking on the job to bodyguard Tomaru and Ashina, the actors of a famous soap opera.

“Boruto” fans will remember that Chocho was rejected by her soap opera crush Tomaru when she encountered him while her butterfly technique was down and unable to keep her slim. Tomaru was unable to recognize Chocho after she lost concentration due to an argument with the rest of the "Boruto" cast. This led her to revert to her chubby self. This encounter also showed how shallow Tomaru is after he told the chubby Chocho that she had no chance with him due to her size.

This is a painful blow to Chocho, who was infatuated with Tomaru. She was even distracted enough to be offered a part in the soap opera when she was thin, and missed the opportunity to kiss the man of her dreams.

In the released preview trailer for “Boruto” episode 69, it looks like Chocho is still holding on to the body manipulation power of the butterfly technique. The earlier part of the preview appears to show that Chocho's disagreements with the other members of the team are putting a strain on the group.

The preview also shows the Amegakure ninja with a gas mask potentially succeeding at capturing Tomaru. Still, it looks like Chocho, along with the rest of Team 7 and Team 10, will be on the move to rescue the soap opera actor. Fans will have to watch “Boruto” episode 69 to see if Cho Cho will learn to forgive Tomaro, earn some self-respect, and be able to successfully rescue him with the rest of Team 7 and Team 10.

Fans looking forward to what happens next for Cho Cho should tune in when “Boruto” episode 69 airs today, Aug. 16. Fans can stream the anime on Crunchyroll.
