The current story arc is focused on Mirai and her feeling of not having a purpose as a ninja in a peaceful world. The previous episode also made it apparent how much she wants to meet her deceased father, Asuma. All these topics will be likely tackled in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 110.

The events to unfold in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 110 is still part of “Konoha Shinden: Steam Ninja Scrolls” novel. It means that anime fans will see Mirai go in action next week alongside Kakashi and Gai.

Mirai offers to accompany Tatsumi to where the process of the resurrection ritual is said to take place deep in the woods. She says she wants to make sure Tatsumi is safe, but she could also be secretly wanting to see if it will work and if he could use it to meet Asuma. Mirai’s father died before she was born. However, Mirai becomes immensely suspicious once they enter a sketchy cave in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 110.

Tatsumi introduces her to the leader of a group of cloaked individuals, named Ryuki, who forces them to drink bottled water in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 110. Mirai suspects the drink is laced with sleeping drugs and that Ryuki is responsible for the series of kidnappings in Yugakure. Mirai will then be forced to reveal her identity as a Konoha ninja.

Likely before a fight breaks out in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 110, Ryuki will explain his desire to follow Hidan by making human sacrifices to a deity named Jashin to obtain immortality. Ryuki will also reveal his disgust for peace in Yugakure. Gai and Kakashi will show up just in time to help Mirai in this battle. Later, the elder ninjas will reveal that helping quash the new breed of Jashinists has been the real mission from the start.

If “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 110 will cover the original novel through the end, fans will likely witness Mirai finally realizing that she still has a purpose to serve despite having peace in the Shinobi World. Kakashi will reassure Naruto there is no need to worry about Mirai’s seriousness. The former Hokage, however, will tell Gai that it is sad for Mirai to have almost fallen for the resurrection trick due to her desire to meet Asuma. “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 110 will air on Sunday, June 9.
