Leading cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp has announced that it will add support for ether trading on its platform, effective 17 August 2017.
Bitstamp said, “As of Thursday, 17 August, Ethereum will be available for trading with USD, EUR and BTC.”
In addition, the exchange is offering huge discounts on Ethereum trading fees until 1 January 2018 – free trading until 01 October 2017, 75 percent discount until 01 November 2017, 50 percent discount until 01 December 2017, and 25 percent discount until 01 January 2018.
The announcement was made alongside the launch of a unified pricing structure. Bitstamp will now combine a customer's 30-day volume on all trading pairs, convert these amounts to USD and then apply the relevant fee, in order to keep trading costs down for all the customers.

It said:
“The decision to do so comes in the wake of the trading pairs we have added and in preparation for the continued expansion of our trading portfolio. Rather than having a separate fee schedule for each trading pair we support, it makes sense to unify our fees and pass on the benefits to our customers: simple, straight-forward and competitive pricing!”
