The Ben Affleck, Lindsay Shookus pair became the target of tabloid gossip recently, with one publication reporting that the couple went on vacation to fix their troubled relationship. The publication quoted a supposed insider who gave them all kinds of juicy bits. However, this proposition has since been debunked, with the couple’s relationship remaining strong despite Ben Affleck’s difficult divorce proceedings with Jennifer Garner.
As Gossip Cop emphatically points out, the tabloid news going around that the Ben Affleck, Lindsay Shookus paradise train is in danger of being derailed has no proof on the matter. The report that was recently published cited an unknown source saying that the “Justice League” star supposedly used their vacation in Puerto Rico to fix their relationship. This just wasn’t the case.
In fact, the actor was on the island simply because that was where he was shooting his new movie. When a photo was taken of the Ben Affleck, Lindsay Shookus pair, the actor was on break from filming. The movie titled “The Last Thing He Wanted,” was being shot in Puerto Rico at the time. It stars Ben Affleck and other notable celebrities, including Anne Hathaway and Willem Dafoe.
This was not mentioned in the tabloid article, however, and the so-called source did not bring it up either. As it is, this particular Ben Affleck, Lindsay Shookus story is turning out to be nothing more than sensationalism to drum up attention on an issue that doesn’t exist.
As for the actual state of the pair, the International Business Times reports that they are still going strong. Despite the slow proceedings in the divorce involving Jennifer Garner, the Ben Affleck, Lindsay Shookus ship is still enjoying sailing relatively smoothly. The couple has been together since July of last year and the actor’s relationship with his soon-to-be ex-wife is apparently quite friendly.
