BTS has been traveling the world for their concerts and other activities. While on the go, it appeared that there is an unlikely careless member because he keeps losing his Apple’s AirPods!
It was revealed that RM or Kim Namjoon, the leader of BTS, has no luck when it comes to keeping a pair of the wireless earbuds created by Apple. It does not matter if the item is cheap, but this is really expensive; thus, it is shocking to know that the idol singer already lost 33 pairs in all.
RM’s confession
On Dec. 15, RM held his V Live streaming, and while talking to his fans, he confessed that the current AirPods that he has is already his 34th pair, and that is because he always misplaced them while traveling. He said that even when they are only in South Korea, he still lost them, and this makes him appear neglectful.
"I think the current ones are my 34th AirPods," RM said in the video. But the idol said that he tried to keep them safe but he just tends to continuously lose them.
It is not clear though which type of AirPods that the BTS leader uses. It was said that it is not only RM who has concerns about losing their device because the small item is really easy to misplace.
The cost of the AirPods
As per the Business Insider, Apple's regular AirPods are sold at $160, but the wireless version costs more at $200. There is also the PRO version that is being retailed at $250 per pair. The amazing thing is that despite losing his earbuds, RM still insists on buying the same product.
It was added that Apple accepts replacement orders from customers who lost their earbuds, but they need to add a bit of money for it. This was set up so that those who already have them and lost them could simply get a replacement than buying a totally new pair.
Apple asks for $69 as a replacement fee for the AirPod and only $59 for the case. For the wireless units, people need to pay $79, and Apple AirPod PRO costs about $89. In any case, it was pointed out that if BTS’ RM is losing the AirPods that cost $160, he could have shelled out around $5,000 already.
