‘Attack on Titan’ Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers, Characters: How Massive Is Rod Reiss's Titan Compared to Its Kin?

“Attack on Titan” Season 3 has been quite underwhelming given how writers opted to sideline Eren and restrict his actions. This season mostly portrayed the main protagonist as a helpless or unconscious hostage, to the irritation of some of the fans, Den of Geek reported.

But that all changed when “Outside the Walls of Orvud District” aired. During the episode, Eren and the rest of the squad were trapped inside a cave. What’s worse is that they’re stuck there with an enormous rampaging giant when Rod Reiss transformed himself into a mindless Titan. “Attack on Titan” Season 3 is only going to get better from here as Eren is now forced to snap out of his self-hating stupor.

It was quite frustrating that Eren kept telling his squad to leave him alone, seemingly ignoring the fact that Rod Reiss’s Titan would inherit his powers if it managed to consume him. Thankfully, the whole squad ignored his plea and unchained him anyway. “Attack on Titan” Season 3 will pick up from this and have Eren’s Titan face off against the grotesque giant threatening humanity itself.

But the fight seems to be one-sided as Rod Reiss’s Titan is gargantuan. While there were several massive Titans seen in “Attack on Titan” Season 3, this one definitely outclasses all of them in terms of sheer size alone. It might be even bigger than the Colossal Titan that was seen in previous installments.

It’s also quite horrid to look at and moves unnaturally by dragging its face and stomach through the ground. The episode saw this lumbering colossus heading towards the safety of the walls, which wouldn’t stand a chance if this new Titan decides to turn it into a pile of rubble. The next episode of “Attack on Titan” Season 3 will air on Sept. 16 and is titled “Rulers of the Walls.” Eren and the might of all those inside the wall will be sorely needed in the upcoming battle, which is expected to produce a lot of chaos and bloodshed.
