PEMBROKE, Mass., Aug. 23, 2017 -- Ariett, a leading provider of Cloud Purchase to Payment Software, announced today the completion of a third-party audit for the SOC (Service Organization Control) 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II Reports to meet the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 18 (SSAE 18 – replaced SSAE 16 in May 2017) requirements. This successful audit attests to Ariett’s high level of security and compliance with regulatory standards, distinguishing Ariett as a leader in the market and in customer trust.
After a 6-month period of testing controls for both SOC Reports, Moore Group, CPA LLC, a New Hampshire-based firm that specializes in providing SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits, has confirmed that Ariett is compliant with SSAE 18. Ariett offers a Cloud, Software as a Service (SaaS) platform for processing every requisition, purchase order, contract, invoice, payment and expense report. By extending accounts payable and purchasing outside customers’ corporate ERP systems to employees on their mobile devices, Ariett boosts collaboration and smarter spending decisions across organizational entities.
President of Ariett Glenn Brodie said, “The successful completion of this audit positions Ariett as one of the most tech-savvy purchase to payment providers. We intuitively understand that, as a SaaS provider, we not only have a responsibility to deliver the best technology but also must implement the safest controls to protect customer data. Because we take security of customer data very seriously, customers can focus their energy on growing their business.”
The SOC 1 Type II Report charts the internal controls over financial reporting within an organization and evaluates the organization’s ability to achieve their stated control objectives. Based on Trust Services Principles, the SOC 2 Type II Report focuses on evaluating an organization’s non-financial reporting controls, including those related to security and availability.
As a Cloud Platform as a Service application on Microsoft Azure, Ariett provides additional protections to customers. Microsoft Azure completes regular SOC 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II Reports, ensuring that Azure’s infrastructure meets Ariett customers’ robust compliance standards.
