Korean trot singer Song Ga-in, known for her record-breaking streak in the Netizen Awards, is once again a top contender as she prepares for her much-anticipated comeback.
Currently ranking third in the Female Singer category for the October edition of the Netizen Awards, Song Ga-in has amassed 1,892 votes as of 5 PM on the 7th. Despite slipping from the top spot, she remains a dominant force in Korea’s competitive music scene.

Song Ga-in rose to fame after winning TV Chosun's popular trot audition program Miss Trot in 2019, quickly earning the title of "national singer" with her distinctive voice and wide appeal. Since the inception of the Netizen Awards in March last year, she has maintained an unbroken streak of victories, holding the title for 16 consecutive months – a record that showcases her continued popularity.
The singer recently announced the establishment of her own entertainment company as she gears up for a comeback later this year. “I’ve founded my company as I begin preparations for my new album and activities starting in the second half of this year,” Song Ga-in said on Instagram.
“I will never forget the warm and grateful hearts of all the people who have supported me and our Again fandom. I will repay that love with great music soon,” she added, thanking her fans.
As anticipation grows for her return, attention also turns to the Netizen Awards, where her fans eagerly await to see if she can extend her reign as the longest-winning artist.
