All Asian markets are trading in red as investors dropped their confidence in commodity prices. Under such situation, Yen regains the confidence and falls below ¥115.00 marks. Pair is currently trading at ¥114.30 levels and hit the low around ¥114.22 marks.
Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 index lunged 4.36% lower to 16,259.92 points in morning trade, while Tokyo's broader Topix gauge sank 4.45% to 1,318.08 points.
Chinese markets were closed for the Spring Festival holiday on Tuesday and aren't set to open again until Monday.
Australia's benchmark S&P/ASX 200 2.27% lower to 4,862.50 points on Tuesday afternoon in Sydney.
New Zealand's S&P/NZX50 index was trading 1.32% lower at 6,072.33 points on Tuesday afternoon in Wellington.
