Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are still not finished with their divorce court battle but their case is getting bigger and more complicated as they also battle it out for the custody of their kids. Now, although it was recently reported that the latter was able to freely spend time with his kids, it is said that the “Maleficent” actress is still making it hard for her ex-husband to be with their children.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Angelina Jolie was already directed by the court to allow the kids to be with their father because keeping him away from them will only do more harm than good. She appeared to have complied with the order and in July, the kids stayed with Brad Pitt in Los Angeles as he filmed his movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, titled “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”

Likewise, the kids spent time with their dad after Angelina Jolie was ordered to help repair her kids’ relationship with their dad. The judge stated that "not having a relationship with their father is harmful to them."

Now, with the rumors that Angelina Jolie is still trying to keep the kids away from Brad despite the judge’s order, Hollywood Life reported that a psychologist corroborated what the judge thinks. Ernest R. Katz, Ph.D., a child psychologist, said that a divorce can stress out the kids.

“In general, kids feel connected to, and stay in contact with, both of their parents even during a divorce,” he said. “If one parent’s speaking negatively about the other, the children will feel stressed and conflicted. Kids will also be put in a difficult position if they’re being told not to spend time with one parent.”

Furthermore, Katz said that children will be put in a difficult position and feel more pressured when being told not to spend time with one parent and this can lead to anxiety, traumatic stress, and depression. With that said, he hopes that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie could settle soon so they can focus on co-parenting their kids.

Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie just came back to the U.S. with her kids and she did so because she was once again ordered by the judge handling the Pitt-Jolie’s divorce case. As per TMZ, Angelina was asked to return with the kids last weekend so Brad can see their kids and spend time with them.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have six kids – Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh 12 and the 9-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. The couple called it quits in 2016 after just two years of marriage.
