The Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt custody battle has been going on for the better part of two years and it has likely not had a positive effect on the children. Unfortunately, it would seem that the six kids of the celebrity couple are in for an even rougher ride since the results of the legal battle could hinge on them. Will this custody war be resolved by the children betraying one parent or the other?
The children of the Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt pair have not had it easy since the A-list couple decided to call it quits. Making things even worse is how the “Maleficent” star wants sole custody of the kids while the “Troy” actor is asking for joint custody. Obviously, they are not going to get their wish, so the final decision of the judge could fall down on what the children have to say.
This is reportedly why the “Fight Club” star wants to give his kids a voice in court, Celebrity Insider reports. While the intention of such a development is not to smear anyone, in particular, this doesn’t mean that no one will be hurt in the process. Regardless of what may happen, putting the Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt kids in the middle of the custody battle will result in one parent or the other feeling betrayed.
If the children take their father’s side, for example, the original “Tomb Raider” actress will be devastated. The same thing will happen if it is reversed, but in that situation, it will be the “War Machine” star who will feel betrayed. This essentially traps the Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt children in an unpleasant situation.
For more details on why the Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt divorce war seems to never end, E! Online has some information to share. Whatever the reason may be, however, there should not be any cause that’s worth putting the children through such hardships.
