East Syracuse, NY, Aug. 16, 2017 -- Anaren, Inc. announced today that it has released a new radiation hardened, isolated DC-to-DC converter for the high reliability space market. The MSK7010RH is a series of 10W DC-to-DC converters that are radiation hardened by design to provide reduced sensitivity to space radiation including; total ionizing dose, single event effects and displacement damage. The use of magnetic isolation eliminates the risk associated with traditional opto-isolator feedback.

“We are excited to introduce our first Isolated DC-DC converter, MSK7010RH, that offers higher efficiency and many internal protection features that make it a highly reliable product for the power conversion system as well as the harsh space environment,” said Mark Kosalek, Anaren Vice President of Business Development. The MSK7010RH series offers a unique user programmable over current latch off feature, with the option to bypass to allow for a typical constant current limit application. The 3.3V output version is the first release in the 10W series. The MSK7010-3.3RH is designed to operate from a MIL-STD-704 compliant power bus and provides an output voltage of 3.3V while delivering greater than 3A of output current with a fixed switching frequency of 500 kHz.
The MSK7010RH is offered in hermetically sealed 7-pin power pack with straight or formed leads package. It is available using qualified MIL-PRF-38534 (Class-H and K) production flow. Engineering development units, industrial grade devices and TOR compliant devices are also available.
