PEABODY, Mass., Aug. 16, 2017 -- Analogic Corporation (Nasdaq:ALOG), enabling the world’s medical imaging and aviation security technology, today announced it has chosen the prestigious Future Travel Experience (FTE) Global conference to launch the new ConneCT™ aviation checkpoint security system. Analogic will also be a Gold Sponsor for FTE conference, which will be held in Las Vegas, September 6-8, at the Mandalay Bay Casino and Convention Center.
Analogic’s ConneCT is designed to bring passengers through checkpoint security faster and safer than ever before at a lower cost per passenger, redefining the industry standard with features including an open network architecture, cutting-edge 3D imaging technology and advanced automated threat detection.
“The FTE Global conference was chosen for the ConneCT launch because it represents the best of the best in technology and innovation aimed at making air travel a better and safer experience,” said Mark Laustra, vice president of global business development. “As such, it’s the perfect setting to make our debut in the Americas and introduce the ConneCT. By offering ConneCT, we set a new standard for the industry with design features and capabilities that only ConneCT provides. Features include an interoperable network architecture, which has a ‘designed-in’ capability to leverage third-party software development, remote maintenance and monitoring and multi-system networking. As the only next-generation checkpoint security system coming to market, ConneCT is in a class by itself.”
Mr. Laustra will take part in a panel discussion titled "Future Airport Approaches – biometrics, standards & new approaches to create the seamless journey of tomorrow" on September 7.
As the recognized leader in medical and security CT technology, Analogic has leveraged its decades of imaging innovation across platforms to improve airport security. Analogic has deployed more than 1,200 systems in airports globally for high-throughput screening of checked, or hold, baggage, and Analogic threat detection software has achieved the highest levels of EU and US TSA certification for hold baggage screening.
The ConneCT screening system is undergoing testing with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in the US and the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) in Europe. In June, American Airlines selected the Analogic ConneCT for deployment, and Analogic expects to bring the ConneCT system to the global market in 2017.
Analogic executives will demonstrate the ConneCT checkpoint system at Booth C-15. For more information, visit www.analogic.com
