PEABODY, Mass., Nov. 27, 2017 -- Analogic Corporation (Nasdaq:ALOG), enabling the world’s medical imaging and aviation security technology, today achieves a significant milestone marking the 50th anniversary of the company’s incorporation. The company’s key products and technologies will be showcased at the 103rd Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, November 26 – December 1, 2017.

Analogic, founded in 1967, was focused on the design and manufacturing of analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, digital panel instruments, and computer peripheral A/D subsystems. Today, Analogic is a leading designer and manufacturer of CT systems and subsystems, MRI power systems, and Selenium-based direct-digital 2D and 3D mammography detectors. Over 80,000 CT and MRI systems delivered worldwide use Analogic technology. In addition, we are a global market leader in procedure-driven ultrasound, branded BK Ultrasound, used mainly in the urology and surgery markets. We also manufacture and sell advanced ultrasound transducers and probes to medical OEMs. Analogic also designs and manufactures airport checked and checkpoint baggage screening systems and DNA analysis systems for the security market.
At RSNA this year, Analogic will showcase its newest innovative products for OEMs in their CT and digital mammography offerings. In CT, Analogic will feature its 64-slice, wide-bore CT gantry equipped with PowerLink™, the Non-Contact Power and Data Transfer System; a sleek, modern and highly intuitive touch screen CT user interface featuring LISA, Analogic’s (Low Dose Iterative Software Application); and a CT Patient Positioning System. The CT Patient Positioning System, with a 660 lb. (300 kg) capacity, provides the ultimate in patient comfort and security. It will be displayed with an industry-leading, 49-cm-wide patient table top. Analogic’s latest OEM CT offerings continue to provide an unsurpassed patient imaging experience, streamlined and highly efficient workflow for the CT technologist, and lowest total cost of ownership for the hospital and institution. Analogic will also showcase its newest digital detectors and image enhancement solutions for mammography. In addition, representatives from Analogic’s MRI product team will be on hand to discuss the company’s next-generation RF and gradient amplifiers.
Featured products will also include BK Ultrasound’s bk5000 ultrasound system, designed for surgical applications, and BK’s unique biplane transducer that allows for live visualization of ablation needle path in two planes simultaneously. Also in the booth will be bkFusion, an integrated MRI-to-ultrasound fusion system for prostate biopsy created in partnership with MIM Software Inc., a provider of market-leading imaging solutions for radiation oncology, radiology, nuclear medicine, neuroimaging, and cardiac imaging. bkFusion is fully integrated into BK Ultrasound’s bk3000 premium ultrasound system for urology
