There are two speculated plots for “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 3. First, many are guessing that the witches from “Coven” will officially return. Second, a death is likely happening during the Hallows' Eve.
The third season of the franchise revolved around the “Coven” storyline. In a nutshell, the premise covered the history and mysteries about the existence of witchcraft in America. Based on the “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 3 preview, speculations were formed that the witches might be back on the small screen this week.
The preview for “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 3, according to Inverse, gives away several clues about the witches’ return. At one point, the witches are seen entering the building where survivors of war are staying.
On the other hand, the witches’ return is also not entirely surprising. In August, Sarah Paulson confirmed that she will reprise her role as Cordelia — a witch from season 3. It was only a matter of when will it happen. Now, the trailer for “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 3 hints that it is occurring this week.
In one scene, Mallory (Billie Lourd), Dinah (Adina Porter) and Coco (Leslie Grossman) are seen lying on the floor motionless while Cordelia stands in front of them in the middle of some ritual. A Reddit user shared their theory that might explain what happens in “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 3.
“I think at the end of the episode the perimeter alarm is going to go off and Mallory, Dina, and Coco are going to take Michael's death pills and die thinking they are being overrun by monsters,” Reddit user GrumpySatan suggested about “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 3. “Last scene is the witches entering the facility. This leads to that screenshot of Cordelia over the three which will be the next episode. Cordelia will resurrect them.”
Meanwhile, another possibility in “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 3 is not looking good for the people living in Outpost 3. The preview also shows Wilhemina Venable (Paulson) mentioning that it will be “all Hallows' Eve.”
Wilhemina then declares, “Everyone shall savor this night as if it were their last.” These words might be hinting at someone’s (or some people's) death in “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 3, airing on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
