Eglin, Florida, Aug. 22, 2017 -- The U.S. Department of the Air Force, Air Force Material Command, Eglin Air Force Base, released a solicitation on August 22 in which it outlined plans to award a contract to a certified small business that can replace Range Road 212 (Watering Creek Bridge) in Eglin, Florida.
The contractor who receives the contract must demolish the existing single-lane timber bridge and install a two-lane pre-cast concrete bridge over Watering Creek on Range Road 212. According to the solicitation, the work includes furnishing labor and materials, in accordance with the Project Drawings and FL DOT Design Standards for Design, Construction, Maintenance, and Utility Operations on the State Highway System.
The Air Force expects the contractor who receives the contract to complete the work within 120 days of receiving the Notice to Proceed.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 237310, and the size standard is $36.5 million.
