CORONA, Calif., Sept. 11, 2017 -- Acology Inc. (OTC:ACOL) announced today that they have reached a partnership agreement with Desiccare Inc., one of the largest manufacturers of controlled atmospheric packaging in the world, and will now become one of Desiccare’s primary marketing partners in the cannabis industry. Desiccare will manufacture 2-way humidity systems under Acology’s MedX label and immediately offer 4gr, 8gr and 67gr packs at 55RH and 62RH. Acology executives are confident this new product will produce a minimum of $1M in sales in the next 12 months. In addition, Acology’s signature product, the Medtainer™, will now be sold including a sealed 4gr pack in each container.
The new MedX 2-way humidity system will help ensure that harvests are more profitable by allowing cultivators to dry crops at a faster rate, while at the same time preventing mold and mildew and maintaining color, taste and overall flower quality. Since terpenes and fragrance, critical aspects of the customer’s overall satisfaction with the product, are so important a humidity system is fundamental to every grower and packager in the industry. The MedX 2-way humidity system offers the best prospect of keeping the product at its highest level of marketability. This simple fact will make growers more profitable in an increasingly competitive market. Acology is now offering this new product to its more than 4,000 distributors worldwide.
Desiccare Inc. leads the industry in new technology solutions for atmospheric packaging. Desiccare’s Integra Boost has been proven to be the most effective 2-way humidity system for cannabis storage, maintaining vibrant color and freshness using clean and safe solutions. “We took a hard look at the science,” said Curt Fairbrother, Acology Inc. CEO, “and reached the conclusion that for preserving potency, quality and freshness Desiccare's Integra Boost was the obvious choice. Since Acology is also moving into the edibles industry we wanted a comprehensive solution that would work for all our products and our worldwide clients. We’re very pleased with the way Desiccare stepped up and saw the possibilities that a partnership would offer.”
