It is safe to say that 2018 had not been the easiest for Abby Lee Miller. But it appears that things are already starting to look better for the professional dance choreographer in 2019 as she confirms her return in “Dance Moms” season 8.
A couple of days before the New Year, Miller took to her Instagram page to announce about her highly anticipated comeback in “Dance Moms” season 8. The reality star shared a happy photo to match the caption that “it’s official” she is returning to the Lifetime reality series.
Miller’s feel-good social media post also provided a little bit of update for fans looking forward to “Dance Moms” season 8. She subtly confirmed that filming will begin in January 2019, which might make a late 2019 premiere possible. Note though that Lifetime has yet to make an official announcement.
It can be recalled that Abby Lee Miller’s history with the show had not been smooth sailing. In 2017, Miller blasted the producers of “Dance Moms” in another Instagram post while also announcing she was quitting. “For the past six years/seven seasons, I have asked, begged, and even demanded creative credit for all the ideas, award-winning routines, themes, and costuming -- to no avail,” Miller claimed.
Meanwhile, the news of Miller’s return to “Dance Moms” season 8 is worth celebrating for her fans. It can be recalled that her battle with cancer peaked in 2018. In April of the same year, Miller was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma following a surgery.
She later opted for chemotherapy treatment along with a series of physical rehab, which has been documented on her Instagram page as well. It was reported that Abby Lee Miller might not be able to walk again on her own. However, her return to “Dance Moms” season 8 is a testament that she is not letting her cancer diagnosis get the best of her.
