10-Year-Old Girl Launches Huge Tesla Campaign, Reading The Contest Details Advised

At the prompting of a little girl who is ten years of age, Tesla CEO Elon Musk decided to launch a competition to find the best video commercial for its vehicles. This comes after just four days of Musk’s response to the letter sender, which does leave a lot of room for misunderstanding. Just to make sure that everyone is on the same page when entering, it’s best to look at the details.

Young Bria Loveday wrote a letter addressed to Musk, which was then posted on Twitter by her father on March 1st, Inverse reports. The father, Steve, actually writes for the publication InsideEVs. In any case, it would seem that Musk thought that Bria’s suggestion was a lovely idea and promptly launched the campaign.

Appropriately named “Project Loveday,” Tesla created a web page that explains the contest’s goals. For anyone interested in joining, reading the “Terms and Conditions” is highly advised.

“10-year-old Bria Loveday sent us a letter and suggested we hold a video contest,” the page’s text reads. “We thought that was a great idea (thanks Bria). Over the next couple of months we will collect videos from around the world as part of the "Project Loveday" video contest. If you’re interested in submitting a video, simply create it, keep it to 90 seconds or less, send us a YouTube link along with your entry form, and wait to see if you’re one of our top winners.”

It’s worth noting that an advertising campaign like this is already a commercial for Tesla in and of itself since it’s receiving wide coverage. There’s the part about Musk taking the suggestion of a little girl that’s causing a stir, but the prospect of an actual video advertisement is catching people’s attention as well.

Tesla has never been one for traditional advertising, which is why it hardly has any TV or radio commercials for its products, Fortune reports. This will be a first.
