Yemen accused the Houthis of an attack involving three ballistic missiles at a displacement camp, according to Anadolu, as fighting between the sides renewed in the country.
The military estimated about 130 Houthi commanders and fighters were neutralized and about 50 military assets, including vehicles and missile launchers, were destroyed or disabled.
Yemeni officials told AFP a force could start with about 3,000 troops and eventually reach 10,000. SANA cited a Syrian source saying no troops had been sent to Yemen at the time.
The ministry also reported eight wounded; Taiz authorities denied an air raid and blamed Houthi missile fire.
