USA and allies are engaged with Iran over Nuclear talk, scrutinizing which shows they seem to be not as harsh on Iran as previous, despite concern from USA's long term partner in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia.

Taking a look from energy side of the story -

  • As the technology advances fast from computers to robotics, companies prepare for more data centers, moving into battery cars, across globe the demand for power is ever growing.
  • Since the 1980s the share of crude oil has been declining in the map of global energy consumption. Major contenders to replace crude Natural Gas & Renewables. The hope for nuclear has diminished somewhat aftermath of Japanese Fukushima Daichi incident.
  • As per the estimate, Iran & Russia together holds about 43% of proven natural gas reserve. It is important to have an ally to balance out the market.
  • Iran is also the second largest crude oil producer in the Middle East after Saudi Arabia.

With the next up move in commodity cycle, natural gas is expected to outrun the price return of crude globally.
