- Today is the final trading day for the current round of CME Bitcoin Futures trading, the low volatile trading session with the stiff range-bounded trend has been observed in this expiry week. The prices of these futures contracts have been oscillating between $3,650 to $3,400 levels with the tepid momentum.
- The contracts declined today, about -$35 and please be noted that the settlement prices on instruments without OI (open interest) or volume are provided for web users only and are not published on Market Data Platform (MDP). These prices are not based on market activity.
- While OKEx is intending to distag all Bitcoin Gold (BTG) futures contracts. The intention is majorly due to the low liquidity of the financial instrument, as per OKEx’s announcement. Settlement of short-tenured contracts take place today in accordance with the price set an hour before delivery.
- Other trading transaction records pertaining to BTG futures, would be removed from January 30th. Overall, due to low liquidity of the short-term futures contracts would be delisted from the exchange.
- Elsewhere, highly anticipated, Bakkt could not be launched today as scheduled owing to the US government shutdown, consequently, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) also went vulnerable assisting for Bakkt, no rescheduled dates were found so far.
