UK's current account balance is yet to be released today for the third quarter of 2015, which, as expected by consensus is likely to show a deficit of 21.9 bn pounds, while for the previous quarter, it stood at 16.8 bn GBP.
Latest movements in UK indicate that the current account deficit is likely to widen from that of previous quarter's value and this quarter data is set to show a strong reversal from last quarter's improvement.
"..making reasonable assumptions about the other components of the current account, we expect the current account deficit to widen substantially from £16.8bn in Q2 to £23.3bn in Q3, still below the peak of £28.8bn seen in Q4 2014 but close to 5% of GDP", says Societe Generale in a research note.
