Turkish sectoral confidence indices rise sequentially in October

Turkish sectoral confidence indices rose in October. On a seasonally adjusted basis, services confidence index rose 1.6 percent to 90.7 in October from September’s 89.3. Within the services sector, demand-turnover expectation index rose 4.9 percent sequentially to 100.1. Business situation and demand-turnover indices dropped 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent to 86.8 and 85.3, respectively.

Meanwhile, retail trade sentiment index rose 4.8 percent to 102.3 in October. Within retail trade sector, business activity-sales, current volume of stock and business activity-sales expectation indices rose 4.9 percent, 2 percent and 7.7 percent, respectively to 93.3, 108 and 105.6.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, construction sentiment index rose 8.3 percent to 65.1 from September’s 60.1. Within construction sector, current overall order books and total employment expectation indices rose 9.1 percent and 7.9 percent, respectively to 48.4 and 81.8.
