Turkish consumer sentiment eases in September

Turkish consumer sentiment eased in September. On a seasonally adjusted consumer confidence index dropped 4.3 percent sequentially to 55.8 from August’s 58.3. The financial situation expectation of household index dropped 4.9 percent to 74 in September from August’s 77.8.

The general economic situation expectation index dropped 4.4 percent to 71 in September from August’s 74.3. Number of people unemployed expectation index came in at 55.3.

The number of people unemployed expectation index dropped 5.1 percent to 55.3 in September from August’s 58.3. The probability of saving index rose 0.6 percent to 22.8 in September from 22.7 in August.
