“The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 15 will have Shaun (Freddie Highmore) clashing with the hospital’s new chief of surgery Dr. Jackson Han (Daniel Dae Kim). While this isn’t completely confirmed just yet, the promo for the upcoming release suggests that Shaun’s position in the hospital is on a rocky state, Express reported.
The synopsis of “The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 15 also provided a hint of this development. “Shaun's blunt honesty with a distraught mother of a critically ill newborn baby causes the new chief of surgery to question keeping him on as a resident.”
One of the narratives that drive the medical drama forward is Shaun’s development of his social skills. “The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 15 will be expanding this avenue again and will have the savant grapple with the intricacies of social interactions. But it seems that before Shaun could make significant headway on this path, Han will be firing him for his actions.
The teaser clip of “The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 15 showed Shaun firmly announcing that he’s a surgical resident of the hospital. “You were,” Han replied. It goes without saying that the brief exchange created an uproar among fans of the series.
Of course, Shaun’s supposed firing will not be permanent given that the show will be breaking away from its main premise. The question here is how Shaun is going to redeem himself that will make Han reconsider his decision. Meanwhile, the secret romance of Lim (Christina Chang) and Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez) will also be touch upon in “The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 15.
At the moment, Lim is battling with herself when a patient from the previous release died under her care, TVLine reported. Initially, Melendez suggested that they prioritize the patient’s head trauma but Lim insisted that they address her heart. Melendez easily relents and the decision ultimately cost the patient’s life. It is here that both realize that their personal relationship has affected their better judgment inside the hospital. But rather than giving up, the couple decided to work through it instead. As for the release date of “The Good Doctor” Season 2 Episode 15, it’s been slated to drop on Feb. 18.
