“The Flash” Season 5 offers a lot of twists and big reveals as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) time-travels again. Surely, the new episodes will be as action-packed and exciting as in the previous seasons.
For a short recap of season 4’s finale, a mystery girl called Nora Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy) appeared. It turned out that she was from the future and time-traveled to the past, which is the present day. While Nora herself announced she is Barry Allen and Iris West's (Candice Patton) daughter, there are others who suggest she might actually be the couple’s granddaughter, Express reported.
This was probably because, in the original comics, Barry’s daughter’s name is Dawn and she was born with a twin brother, Don. Since there is confusion here, the truth may be revealed in “The Flash” Season 5 premiere.
Barry Allen may have to travel back and forth to the past and present in order to uncover the truth. And, if Nora is truly his daughter, another possible reason for his time-traveling is to send his future daughter back to the time she belongs to.
Episode Titles
“The Flash” season 5’s first two episodes are out already. As per Spoiler TV, the titles are Episode 1- “Nora” and Episode 2 – “Blocked”
The premiere's title is clearly referring to Nora Allen. With that said, the episode’s goal would be to determine her real identity and why she traveled back to the past. The episode may also reveal the answer to the question “What exactly is the 'big mistake' that she mentioned in Season 4’s finale?”
New Villain?
“The Flash” season 5 may have a new villain. Although there are no reports about it, the latest leaked pictures that were posted by Hollywood Pipeline on Twitter suggest that a new villain is coming.
The photos show Barry Allen fighting a man wearing a black mask and a black outfit. The watermarked images were captioned “Grant Gustin back in action for Season 5 of ‘The Flash’ currently being shot in Vancouver.” At any rate, viewers will have to wait until the show premieres to know the identity of this antagonist.
“The Flash” season 5 is slated to return on Oct. 9.
