“The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 finally premiered on Nov. 13 and it is now on its way to the third episode. In the upcoming chapter, Rick and Marty Lagina will continue their search using a seismic tool that allowed the brothers and their team to get a glimpse of what is underneath the ground around the suspected Money Pit area.
This tool features state-of-the-art technology so it is now possible to “see” what is below the ground without the need to dig. This is quite helpful because it saves time and helped the team to determine the area to be excavated for possible treasure locations.
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 is probably the biggest yet in the show’s history because Marty and Rick Lagina had widened their operations and started exploring other places on the island like the Smith’s Cove. Their efforts yielded many interesting discoveries like the underground chamber and small relics like a coin.
In season 5, the team found a cross that was later linked to the Knight Templar due to its features and age. After some testing, the cross was revealed to be from the Middle Ages and could be around 600 years old. Finding a relic from this era suggests the possibility that the Templars may have discovered America first before Christopher Columbus did.
These details plus the discovery of the mysterious chambers in “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 pushed the Lagina brothers and their team to investigate more about the connection between the Oak Island, the cross and the Templar. It was said that the team has already started their exploration with the help of metal-detecting expert Gary Drayton and Jack Begley.
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 episode 3 is titled “Depth Perception” will show more details about this Templar investigation. Its synopsis reads: “The seismic results are in, revealing the existence of a mysterious underground chamber; Gary and Jack make a discovery suggesting another Templar connection.”
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 episode 3 will air on Nov. 27 at 9 p.m. on History.
