The release of “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 was announced in a 30-second video. Though the trailer is brief, it managed to excite the fans by hinting that the Lagina brothers and their crew have unearthed their “first gold.”

Several exciting details are revealed in the first official trailer for “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6. At one point, Marty Lagina is seen telling their team, “We have found our first gold on Oak Island.”

Meanwhile, this is not the only major development in “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6. Rick Lagina is also shown in the video trailer talking about a new technology they used in the past months.

Though it would be impossible to elaborate on the said technology in a 30-second video, Rick happily tells the viewers that it was so effective that it made their work for season 5 “insignificant.” But the “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 teaser implies that the new tech allowed the Lagina brothers and their team to look into the underground of the Money Pit.

Noticeably missing in the “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 trailer is the medieval cross they unearthed in season 5. Based on its design, the producers said it could potentially link the Knights Templar's voyage to North America even before the arrival of Christopher Columbus.

“The Curse of Oak Island” executive producer Kevin Burns confirmed to Monsters & Critics that this medieval cross will be further explored in the new episodes. They have tested the cross to analyze how old it actually is.

“Some have dated it to as old as 900 AD, some have said 1300 AD,” Burns explained. “And if it is in that neighborhood, it could very well have been left behind by a Templar and that might be some kind of evidence that they did come to North America years before Columbus.”

There was a previous rumor that “The Curse of Oak Island” season 6 is premiering in November. The official trailer also confirmed this information. The Lagina brothers will be back for new episodes starting on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 9 p.m. ET.
