Tesla has just released the official numbers of its production and deliveries of its three vehicles for the third quarter of 2019. The electric car-making company revealed that Tesla Model 3 accounts for over 80 percent of both records.

Tesla Model 3 shipments: Company delivers almost 80,000 of its entry-level vehicle

For Q3 2019, the company confirmed it saw a record-high production and deliveries of Tesla Model 3, Model S, and X. Tesla produced 96,155 and delivered 97,000 of the said electric vehicles.

Not surprisingly, Tesla Model 3 accounts for most of that record. The company produced 79,837 of the entry-level vehicle that translates to over 83 percent of the Q3 2019 production. The shares in Tesla deliveries do not differ that much because the company shipped 79,600 of the Model 3, and that it accounts for over 82 percent of the quarter’s records.

Tesla also emphasized on delivering most of the Tesla Model 3 to customers who did not originally place a reservation. This means that the “organic demand” for the electric vehicle is getting higher and, depending on various factors, could translate to better numbers in the next quarters.

While Tesla celebrates this is record production and deliveries, it still fell a little short from the reported Q3 2019 target of 100,000 deliveries based on a leaked internal memo allegedly sent out by Elon Musk. Part of the obtained message purportedly read, “We have a shot at achieving our first 100,000 vehicle delivery quarter, which is an incredibly exciting milestone for our company!”

Tesla Model 3 international release: EV is a hit for Australian customers; Made-in-China Model 3 cars now in trial production?

The growing number of Tesla’s production and deliveries can be attributed to the car company's growing international customer base. The Tesla Model 3 first arrived in Australia with deliveries reportedly made in late August through September. Reports later emerged that the electric vehicle became one of the top-selling cars of the month despite the region experiences a 17-month decline in new-car purchases.

Another milestone that Tesla is also looking forward to is the official start of productions at the Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai, China. Made-in-China Tesla cars are anticipated to be released very soon as more photos are being leaked online that trial productions have already started.
