Swedish net trade balance came in at a surplus in the month of September. According to Statistics Sweden, foreign trade in goods came in at a surplus of SEK 2 billion, as compared with the trade surplus of SEK 1.8 billion recorded in September 2018.
Exports value came in at SEK 127.8 billion, whereas imports were valued at SEK 125.8 billion. On a year-on-year basis, exports and imports both grew 4 percent in terms of value.
Trade in goods with nations outside the EU came in a surplus of SEK 18.7 billion, while EU trade resulted in a deficit of SEK 16.7 billion.
On a seasonally adjusted, basis, the trade surplus came in at SEK 0.4 billion in September, as compared with a surplus of SEK 1.5 billion recorded in August. The corresponding figure for July was a surplus of SEK 2.7 billion.
In the January to September period, net trade recorded a surplus of SEK 21.2 billion. The value of exports of goods grew 7 percent, while the value of imports of goods rose 2 percent year-on-year. Exports were valued at SEK 1,132.6 billion, whereas imports came in at SEK 1,111.4 billion.
