Suits Season 5 returns with a Bang!
Suits returned Wednesday night with quite a bang. There were a lot of surprises and we know we’re in for an intense ride in the final few episodes of the season.
Season 5 Episode 11 entitled “Blowback” picked up with Mike sitting in a holding cell after being arrested for fraud. Mike was as surprised as we are when Robert Zane walked in to represent him instead of Harvey. Now that Mike’s future father-in-law knows of his secret it adds more tension to the already tenuous relationship between the two. At least he has the assurances that Rachel will stand by his stand no matter what happens.
While Mike can expect the full support of Harvey and the rest of his friends at the firm, he still has to face Anita Gibbs, the ruthless and unflinching Assistant District Attorney, who is looking out for justice.Even though that everyone now knows that Mike’s a fraud, Anita Gibbs still has the tough task of proving that. As Harvey told Mike, “Don’t forget, we don’t need to prove you’re a lawyer. She needs to prove you’re not.”
I don't know how this is all going to play out. I can't see Mike losing or winding up in jail, but I also don't know how he wins and just goes back to the law firm, business as usual. It will be interesting to see how they keep the show going after this is all said and done.
Plus, the secret is out. Literally everyone knows, and that secret has been the backbone for five seasons now. Where do they go from here?
