Spain's CPI inflation data is scheduled to release today. Spanish HICP inflation posted significantly negative figures in October, it showed some recovery from -1.2% yoy to -0.9% yoy. But the final HICP inflation Spain is unlikely to change from its flash estimate of -0.9% yoy in the same month, estimates Societe Generale.
The prices of fuels and lubricants declined less than 2014, and INE states that the recovery in the Spanish inflation was led by these two.
"Looking ahead, Spanish HICP inflation should average -0.7% for 2015 and 0.6% in 2016. The core metric should be 0.2% in 2015 before rising to 0.9% in 2016", says Societe Generale.
