Song Joong Ki is starring in tvN’s “Arthdal Chronicles” as the main lead, and more teasers and details about the drama are coming out as the premiere date gets closer. Just a day ago, the official poster was released, and it showed a fierce warrior portrayed by Song Hye Kyo’s husband.
As noted on Korea’s Star Today, the scale of Joong Ki’s “Arthdal Chronicles” is no joke. As can be seen in the poster, the cast lineup alone is star-studded already, featuring the likes of Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ok Bin plus “Descendants of the Sun” supporting actress Kim Ji Won. The drama was also dubbed as the Korean “Game of Thrones,” and by that fact, one can already imagine how big it is.
In the poster, Hye Kyo’s better half is still very handsome yet exudes that manly charisma that perfectly depicts his character Eun Seom’s role as an outcast but still fought hard to protect his tribe and later on was accepted and became their leader. It is a heroes tale set in the pre-Korean civilization, so it is something very new in the Korean drama scene.
In any case, while Song Joong Ki will be known as a rugged hero, his wife Song Hye Kyo is a Disney Princess! Earlier this week, Moon So Ri was promoting her movie “Juror 8” and during an interview on “Park Sun Young’s CineTown,” the actress revealed an interesting story about the “DOTS” actress.
According to Soompi, Hye Kyo was labeled a princess after the 44-year-old veteran actress shared a story about her daughter. She said that her daughter admires Joong Ki’s wife and they already met when the A-list star came to visit them once.
Song Hye Kyo brought a gift for Moon So Ri’s daughter, a Rapunzel doll. She liked it so much that she now sees her as the prettiest Rapunzel aunt in the world. In any case, Song Joong Ki’s “Arthdal Chronicles” is set to debut on tvN on June 1 at 9 p.m. KST.
