Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo’s divorce rumors have started just a year after the couple got married. Various media reported about the “Descendant of the Sun” actors’ supposed split, but these reports were debunked by people close to them.
Most probably, what fired up the Joong Ki and Hye Kyo’s divorce stories was the news that was published on a Chinese paper. It alleged that the two is already living separately and it based its assumption on the fact that the actress was pictured without her wedding ring. The outlet published her photos and encircled her fingers to proved their point about the absence of the ring and unfortunately, many believed the article.
Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo never publicly addressed their divorce rumors, but in their own ways, the pair may have already debunked the narratives that they had split up. Aside from the social media photos that show them together on trips and outings, the “DOTS” actor also recently attended his “Arthdal Chronicles” script reading with his wedding ring on.
While this is a small thing, perhaps he thought that this would shut down the divorce rumors once and for all. In the past months, he was also spotted without the wedding band on events that he attended, and at the recent script reading, the ring is back on his fingers.
At the meeting for “Arthdal Chronicles,” Joong Ki held the script with his left hand, and everyone will easily spot his ring every time he lifts the document to read. With his gesture, the actor may be trying to “shout” that he and Hye Kyo are still together but will this be enough to silence the rumors?
Perhaps, Song Joong Ki’s move was an effective way to dispels the divorce reports. However, since this is show business, it is likely that it will only be for a short time. This means that the split rumors with Song Hye Kyo will be back in no time - it's the entertainment business after all.
