DURHAM, N.C., Sept. 05, 2017 -- SolarWinds MSP, a global leader in delivering comprehensive, scalable IT service management solutions to IT solution providers and MSPs, today announced the release of SolarWinds® N-central® 11.1, offering delayed automatic patch approvals, improved monitoring and remote connectivity for Linux® operating systems, and updated hover-over status icons for improved dashboard visibility.
SolarWinds N-central is a highly configurable remote monitoring and management platform that offers on-premises and hosted options for managed services providers who require more customization and advanced scalability.
This latest update allows users to:
- Support Linux operating systems with a new Ubuntu® agent, making it easy to discover, monitor, and remotely control devices within customer networks—with easy-to-install agents for all production versions of Windows®, Mac®, and Linux.
- Add delays to automatic patch approvals, simplifying patch management to automatically patch testing devices first, and then deploy those patches to customer production devices at a later date. This helps ensure that patches won’t interfere with customer line-of-business (LOB) applications while improving patching stability.
- Hover over icons on the pop-up menus to present more information regarding the status of a service, giving users the necessary information needed regarding the monitoring alert without the need to open multiple tabs.
“Our N-central platform, which is trusted by thousands of successful managed service providers across the world, offers users an industry-leading, single-pane-of-glass solution for the complete oversight and organization of a customers’ IT network,” said Greg Lissy, vice president of product management at SolarWinds MSP. “The new features support our goal to help IT service providers get the job done easier and faster, drive profits, and improve the customer experience. It’s closed the gap in dashboard visibility, patch management, and Linux devices for our customers.”
