SoftBank Corp., a Japan-based mobile communication, fixed-line communication and Internet services provider, has partnered with U.S.-based communications services company Sprint and blockchain company TBCASoft, in order to develop blockchain for the telecommunication carriers.
The collaborative effort will commence a technical trail that makes use of TBCASoft’s blockchain platform for the telecom carriers system, the release stated. TBCASoft is a blockchain startup that is developing consortium-based technology, especially for the telecommunication carriers sector.
SoftBank, Sprint, and TBCASoft will work closely on addressing those issues that are related to technology, business as well as the regulations of various jurisdictions.
Also, the three companies will collaborate and promote research and development with a focus in building a cross-border blockchain project for various services including IoT applications, personal authentication, safe clearing and secured settlement, among other services that comes under telecom carriers.
TBCASoft blockchain platform enables mobile carriers to deliver new and innovative services to their subscriber base, at the same time, operating under an infrastructure that is secure, robust and scalable.
