“Shokugeki no Soma” (a.k.a. “Food Wars”) chapter 295 will begin at the peak of Soma and Sarge’s ongoing cooking duel. This manga installment might also reveal who wins between these two very passionate cooks.
However, before the winner is revealed in Soma and Sarge’s battle, “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 295 will have to explain first another surprising aspect of Soma’s dish. For a brief recap, Soma is competing against the underground chef in making the best cake for a midsummer Christmas feast.
Prior to “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 295, it was confirmed that Sarge has trained under Saiba Asahi and she is part of the Les Cuisiniers Noir (Midnight Chefs). This means Sarge is another worthy opponent but, so far, Soma has been pretty confident. And he has the right to be, so far he has utilized surprising techniques in making his Christmas log cake.
Many fans are expecting Soma to win in “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 295, especially after the judges get to learn what his secrets are in making his so-called firework balls. As mentioned that mechanics required Soma and Sarge to whip up a winning cake for the occasion.
Soma surprised the judges in chapter 294 after confirming that he did not use any sugar and dairy products to offer something “light and refreshing” to match the “hot and humid” weather. Sarge took offense that one of the judges would consider Soma’s dish was on par with what she served them. Note that the judges already thought the dishes are tied, but Soma’s firework balls were even considered yet at this point because these will be discussed in “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 295.
What “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 295 will reveal might just draw the line at which Soma wins the match. Sarge argued that Soma did not fully comprehend the Christmas cake category and added that her bomb cake shattered the judges’ expectations. But that is when Soma told her to calm down and do not conclude anything yet because his surprise is not over.
The last panel in chapter 294 clearly hints that “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 295 will elaborate on how Soma achieved the firework balls. It is also still unknown what ingredients Soma used on this part of the dish but he promised it is going to be “the perfect thing for a summer party.” “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 295 will be released on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
