Teasers for “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 272 suggests that Soma Yukihira could be meeting Saiba Asahi in a much less dramatic sequence. The synopsis for the upcoming manga installment is a bit vague but it could be suggesting that Saiba is entering Soma’s life disguised as a new teacher.
The synopsis for “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 272, as translated by BakaData.com, could surprise fans that have been following the previous installments of the manga series. Unlike what many expected, the official teaser for “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 272 did not mention anything about Saiba.
Changes are in order at the Totsuki Culinary Academy. These include the addition of a new temporary instructor to be introduced in “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 272. According to spoilers, the new teacher is named Suzuki and described as “relatively young, probably around the age of a college student.”
Suzuki and Soma will be getting to know each other in “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 272 and will discuss something not related to cooking. The teaser said Suzuki will convince Soma about having a girlfriend. To do that, Suzuki will advise Soma that having someone special will lead to being a great chef because a girlfriend will serve as a huge inspiration. The new academy teacher will further insist that it was a lesson his former master taught him.
It appears that Suzuki is pretty convinced that what he told Soma is something the latter should pay but not with money. The “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 272 spoilers indicate that Suzuki will later challenge Soma to a Shokugeki or a cooking duel.
The entire synopsis did not mention anything about Saiba. He was formerly a very mysterious character which was revealed to be Soma’s brother in chapter 271. However, Saiba seems to be a vengeful child and son. In the previous chapter, he mercilessly defeated their father Joichirio in their own duel, 5-0. He then declared that he is off to meet his brother Soma.
These events made many fans expect that the synopsis would tell more about Saiba. But as it turns out, the spoiler was more about a new character named Suzuki. This then leads to another theory that Saiba could be disguised as Suzuki in “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 272.
Suzuki could be planning to put Soma to shame after defeating him in their upcoming Shokugeki, just like what he did to their father in the previous chapter. Whether or not Soma will emerge as the winner, fans are might find out in “Shokugeki no Soma” chapter 272, which will be released on Monday, July 23.
