Shiba Inu's enigmatic lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, has fired back at critics doubting SHIB's potential, emphasizing its staggering 33 million percent growth since 2020 and asserting that it outperforms even Bitcoin.
Shiba Inu's Shytoshi Kusama Addresses Value Growth Criticism
The mysterious Shiba Inu team main developer, who goes by the moniker Shytoshi Kusama, felt compelled to address a tweet that questioned his previous X post claiming that SHIB's value rise has outpaced Bitcoin's.
On this occasion, Kusama addressed the founder of 1confirmation investment company, who is also an avid SHIB fan, and attacked his assertion that the Shiba Inu will most likely continue to be little more than a "chump change meme."
Tomaino Lists Influential Crypto Projects, Omitting SHIB
In a tweet, Nick Tomaino—founder of the investment firm 1confirmation—listed seven crypto initiatives from the beginning of the crypto era that he thinks have been the most influential so far.
The list concludes with the stablecoin-based platform Bridge, and it begins with Bitcoin. Then he positioned OpenSea, Polymarket, Maker DAO, Coinbase, and Ethereum in the center. “All of them have faced endless FUD and used it as fuel,” Tomaino added.
Shytoshi Kusama said in response to the post:
Kusama Highlights SHIB's Exceptional Performance Over Bitcoin
Earlier, he commented on a post by @Vivek4real_ X, who dubbed Bitcoin "the best-performing asset in the last decade." The infographic he put out there showed that Bitcoin had beaten tech giants like Amazon, Tesla, and Apple, as well as the S&P 500 index and gold.
He tweeted that SHIB had already outperformed Bitcoin by 66 times, and Shytoshi Kusama responded by saying as much. "No disrespect, BTC is the GOAT, but I am just saiyan," he continued.
Following this, Kusama tweeted that Shiba Inu had surpassed its rival top coins, DOGE (which had expanded 202,583%), SOL (which had increased by 35,715.8%), and BNB (which had accelerated by 1,521,482.8%), showing growth of 33,774,726.7% since its all-time low in September 2020.
Community Skepticism Over SHIB's $0.01 Target
On the same thread, a SHIB supporter confronted Kusama, claiming that the community will continue to dismiss SHIB as "a chump change meme" until its price surpasses $0.01.
In response to that reviewer, Shytoshi Kusama stated:
Nevertheless, Shiba Inu is no longer among the top ten cryptocurrencies, falling to number twelve on CoinMarketCap's list, following a roughly 4% drop.
