‘Shameless’ Season 7, Episode 9 Spoilers: "Ouroboros" – Monica Returns to Help Debbie Get Daughter Back; Kev, V Seek Marriage Counseling for Svetlana Troubles

‘Shameless’ season 7’s episode 9, entitled "Ouroboros”, will feature the return of Monica. The troubled matriarch will help out her daughter Debbie get Franny back in the incoming episode. Meanwhile, Kev and V will seek out marriage counseling for their problems with Svetlana.

The synopsis for "Ouroboros" posted on Cartermatt reads, “Monica (Chloe Webb) returns and her first task is to help Debbie (Emma Kenney) get Franny back.

Meanwhile, Frank (William H. Macy) learns of Monica’s return and tries to avoid her; Lip (Jeremy Allen White) tries to mask his relapsing alcoholism; Ian (Cameron Monaghan) and Trevor (Elliot Fletcher) fight for the first time; Fiona’s (Emmy Rossum) laundromat gets its first bad review; and Kev (Steve Howey) and V (Shanola Hampton) seek out marriage counseling for their woes with Svetlana (Isidora Goreshter).”

The incoming season will feature the return of the troubled Gallagher matriarch as she seeks to help out her daughter Debbie get back her own daughter Franny. Monica even went out of her way to break someone’s windows with a baseball bat in episode 9’s promo. She screams,  “You have no legal right to keep Franny!”

Monica left her family prior to the series and has been a recurring character for several seasons. Her older children, particularly Fiona and Lip, resent her for her abandonment. She first appeared at the end of season 1 and it was revealed that she was a bisexual dating a proud lesbian named Roberta, otherwise known as “Bob.”

In season 2, Monica returned to the family saying that she was back for good. It was revealed that she suffers from bipolar disorder and has discontinued her use of her prescribed medications causing her to attempt suicide. She was eventually moved to a psychiatric ward before Frank and Debbie helped her escape with another patient.

Monica reappeared in season 5, when she visited Ian in prison. The two then hitchhiked out of the city. Monica then took her son to live with her boyfriend, who makes methamphetamine.

Meanwhile, Kev and V will be headed to marriage counseling all thanks to their problems with Svetlana. According to Parent Herald, it seems that the two are finally desperate enough to seek professional help for their complicated relationship with the Russian prostitute-turned-bartender.

‘Shameless’ season 7’s episode 9, entitled "Ouroboros”, is scheduled to air on Showtime on November 27, 2016. It was written by Sheila Callaghan. It will be followed by episode 10, entitled "Ride or Die", scheduled for December 4, 2016.
